Bio

I am a sophomore from West Caldwell, New Jersey studying finance and writing at the University of Michigan. It is by no coincidence that I introduce myself first by my hometown, and then by my academic concentration at Michigan. I am feverishly proud to be a New Jersey native, and strongly identify with the competitive, fast-paced lifestyle that is often associated with the Northeast United States. Outside of the classroom, I love playing and watching sports with friends. In the fall, I am one of over 100,000 screaming fans packed into the Big House on football Saturday, but In the summer, you’ll find me at the beach with my family and my ocean kayak.

It is an extraordinary set of circumstances that has led me to the University of Michigan, as will become clear in my subsequent projects. These circumstances have shaped my outlook and given me a perspective that I think is unique from many of my peers. However, it is important that I make a key distinction: While my challenging path has shaped my perspective, it is my upbringing that has influenced me the most. I have been blessed with parents that have ensured that my brother and I want for nothing, while also making sure nothing was ever handed to us. By striking this difficult balance, my mom and dad instilled in us the values of hard work, modesty, and compassion at a young age. Having this strong foundation has been essential in overcoming the challenges both my brother and I have faced, and for that I am forever grateful.
